The Golden Gate

I had leafed through the first few pages of Afterwards and found it quite interesting and then Arun passed on a copy of The Golden Gate by Vikram Seth. An author I have always wanted to read but for no particular reason I have not been able to get to reading it. Hence I decided to read a book that is all in verse. It was tough to get the flow initially but the sonnet was so touching I just immersed myself into the book. I have read nearly half of the book and just cant stop thinking about it. It has cast a spell on me.

I am sleeping very little since I want to read the book even after a long and winding day I take refuge in The Golden Gate.

His writing is inspiring and strangely when I type a text involuntarily I try to rhyme it. Strange things happen to me when a book that brings me closer to the mirror.

Will write more on this once I complete the book....
